PHLConnectED

PHLConnectED is a City program that provides free internet to families that need reliable internet service in Philadelphia.

The City has expanded eligibility and wants to ensure that families know! Help the City spread the word and give a gift that keeps on giving: free internet access.

The City wants to make sure that all families are prepared for the new year and have internet access to participate in remote learning. This week, we want to encourage as many families who need internet access to sign up for the program.

Expanded eligibility applies to Philadelphia K-12 families who have internet in their home and:

Participate in public benefit programs with income qualifications.
Have a child who is designated as an English Learner.
Have a child who receives special education services.
PHLConnectED offers two ways for eligible households to get free internet:

An in-home high-speed internet connection, or
A high-speed mobile hotspot for families who are experiencing homelessness, in-between homes, housing insecure or where in-home connection is not possible
Families should dial 2-1-1 and press 1 for English or press 8 for Spanish to get in touch with the PHLConnectED hotline and find out if you’re eligible.
